A musical community is vital for a student’s musical development and takes away that dreaded isolation in a practicing space. I explain the value of such and when included, how it benefits the overall aural and confidence level of new / intermediate music students once the basic foundations are in place. A musical community can be a garage band, a local choir or just jamming with friends in your home. Whatever it is, get involved and make it happen when you are ready. You will find out that you will grow and develop to be a far more resilient and aware musician as you journey forward to achieving that ‘Dream Musical Sound’.
